Top 10 For JR As Corellis Wins First of Season

West Lebanon, NY - The legendary ¨ö dirt high banked oval located on State Route 20 in Upstate NY known as the Valley of Speed came to life again this past Saturday Night with a full card of racing action provided by Able Tractor and the Times Union. The Big Block Modifieds took to high banks for their 30 lap feature event. On the front row, Rich Salisbury and Lorne Browe brought the field to the green flag. But the caution flew before they exited turn 2 as the #34H of Steve Hough and the #87X of Paul Gilardi made contact and spun in front of the field. Both were towed to the pits for further repairs. Back under way Salisbury took control of the field and held off all challengers through 13 laps on the Kokosa Oil lap counter. Hard charging Donnie Corellis took over 2nd place by lap 12, then charged past Salisbury for the lead by lap 14. Caution flew once more for a multi-car accident on the backstretch involving several cars, including last weeks winner Ray Hoard on lap 24. After the clean up, Corellis turned on the cruise control and scored his first win of 2010. A steady pace through the field scored Eddie Marshall a solid 2nd place finish. 3rd over the line was Brett Hearn, followed by Lorne Browe and Kyle Sheldon.
